Jnani
Once Hanuman was asked by Lord Sri
Ramachandra, "How do you think of me?" Sri Hanuman Ji said:
"Oh Lord, while I identify myself
with my body, I am Thy servant. When I consider myself an individual
soul, I am Thy part. But when I look upon myself as the spirit, I am
one with Thee. This is my firm conviction."

Once when mother Janaki was
applying sindoora to her forehead, Sri Hanuman Ji asked her the reason
for doing so. She replied that by applying sindoora, she ensured a long
life for her husband, Lord Rama. The more sindoora she applied, the
longer Rama's life would be. The devoted Hanuman then smeared his
entire body with sindoora, in an effort to ensure Rama's immortality.
